A Blast from the Past

I paid my Grandma and her cousin a visit for the afternoon on Sunday. She had out these old photographs of her Great-Great-Grandmother. I'd never seen these before and found them fascinating. My Great-Great-Great-Grandparents!



My Great-Great-Great-Grandparents the Ridgways, featured in an Ashton newspaper for their golden anniversary.



Sat in the middle Joseph Ridgway and his wife. I think there are four Josephs in this photograph!



Far Right just on the edge of the photograph is my Great-Great-Grandmother Rachel holding her son Arnold.
The girl in the white dress on the left is Olive, my Great Grandmother, and Doris' (my Grandmother!) mother. Just to make things that bit more confusing for you readers, my little 9 year old cousin is named Olive after her.
Fascinating photographs. There was an article written about Joseph Ridgway too which I will copy properly at some point.
